Cocktail bars in Southampton are a little thin on the ground, which is a little disappointing as Southampton nightlife is vibrant and bustling. Bars in Southampton range from sports bars where you can watch The Saints on a big screen TV to 80s disco bars where you can embarrass yourself on the karaoke machine. It is difficult to know why cocktail bars in Southampton have yet to really get off the ground but hopefully cocktail culture will take hold of the Southampton nightlife scene in the next few years. All hope is not lost however and if you do find yourself in the city we recommend you check out the excellent Orange Rooms, situated on Vernon Walk, whose signature Mojito is worth the trip alone!
