Tattoos and Titillation at the latest Sailor Jerry Event
Well, it definitely can’t be said that Sailor Jerry doesn’t know how to party! After wowing us with arm-wrestling on a rooftop bar for VISIONS festival, then keeping the carnivores happy at MEATOPIA, they’ve once more scored a hit with their latest event.
Last Saturday saw the inked elite gather at East London’s Tobacco Dock for the London Tattoo Convention, and Sailor Jerry were on hand to celebrate this ten year anniversary with a good dose of rum fun.
But it wasn’t all about the drinks – there were exhibitions of tattoo art-work, a chance to get dressed up in Sailor Jerry threads, and the fantastic opportunity to sneak a peak at the new Sailor Jerry flash books – 64 pages of vibrant artwork by the legend himself, Normal ‘Sailor Jerry’ Collins.
And for those needing refreshment, there was of course a special Sailor Jerry bar that was never short of a customer or five, where guests of the convention could grab themselves a spiced mojito or the most recent concoction of the Morning Glory – a special Sailor Jerry take on a Bloody Mary, but with much more zing! For those wanting thirst-quencher after all that ink then there was the Backyard Lemonade, which combined sharp traditional lemonade with a hearty slug of rum, and the more adventurous sippers gave the Hellfire a go – spiced rum, fresh lime, beer and a dash of fiery hot sauce.
What can we say? We can’t wait to see what excitement Sailor Jerry have got lined up next! Until then, why not try conducting your own Morning Glory at home?
