Glen Scotia 1991

Connoisseurs of whisky will appreciate the name of Glen Scotia – one of just three distilleries in Campbeltown and the only one actively releasing single malt. This quality Scotch was set aside to mature in hogshead #1079 and was eventually bottled at 23 years old by Signatory in July 2014. It’s rather exclusive, since only 375 bottles were produced, and has a light nose of cereals, citrus, spices and iodine. The taste incorporates spiced notes with a slightly salty and herbal finish, and has a complexity that is testament to its fine age.

Nikka Takatsuru 21 year old

If you can’t treat your old pops on Father’s Day, when can you? And with this incredible Japanese malt whisky, crowned World’s Best Blended Malt Whisky at the 2010 World Whiskies Awards, then you are sure to create quite a stir. It has been matured for 21 years, which gives it a deep, flavourful richness that is completely unique and rather fabulous. The nose blends the splendour of ripe fruit with the elegance of the aged cask, and the taste offers chocolate, coffee, black pepper, loads of tangy sherry, hints of turmeric and other spices.
