Halloween Party Cocktails
With help from our friend David Smillie over at Booly Mardys, we created a couple of original cocktails for your Halloween parties and ghoulish gatherings!Enjoy
Hallows Eve Flip
A seasonal twist on the ancient classic the flip. This unusually teams Reposado tequila with spiced pumpkin to give a lovely smooth texture which is sweetened with vermouth and grenadine. Topped with fresh grated nutmeg this is a very seasonal cocktail.
Ingredients:
40ml Herradura Reposado Tequila
15ml Antica Carpano Vermouth
10ml Grenadine
25ml Spiced Pumpkin Puree
2 dash Angostura Bitters
Whole egg
Directions:
Dry Shake without ice, shake with ice then double strain into champagne flute.
Garnish with grated nutmeg
For pumpkin puree: Roast flesh of one medium pumpkin in the oven for 45mins or until soft. Puree in food processor with half a teaspoon of ground cinnamon, ground ginger, ground allspice and ground nutmeg. Add simple syrup and pressed apple juice to achieve a loose puree.
Ghoulish Collins
Based on the classic Tom Collins this long cocktail is refreshing and easy to make. The vanilla and butterscotch flavours balance with the lemon and green curacao adds sweetness and giving our spooky green glow!
Ingredients:
35ml Vanilla Vodka
10ml Butterscotch Schnapps
20ml Lemon Juice
15ml Sugar
Top Soda
Float Green Curacao
Directions:
Shake vodka, schnapps, lemon and sugar and strain into tall glass. Add ice and a splash of soda water. Float green curacao and garnish with orange zest.
