The mint and almond flavours in the Irish Pride work well with the nice green hue justifying the cocktails name. This can be considered quite a strong cocktail, but it is worth a try just to sample the melding of mint, almond and sour, which cant be found in any other popular cocktail.

This drink was created for St Patrick’s Day celebrations, much in the same vein as the Irish Eyes, Everybodys Irish and the St Patricks Day Sangria.

There are several brands of green creme de menthe now readily available, but we recommend using the De Kuyper brand for this cocktail.

Also, for maximum flavour, always use fresh lemon juice instead of the bottled variety, as the extra sugar added to the bottled type can throw the drink off balance.
