Akvavit

Akvavit is a flavoured spirit, produced primarily in Scandinavia. The main spice in the drink is either caraway or dill and it typically contains 40% alcohol by volume.

Akvavit has a strong legacy in Scandinavian drinking culture and is usually drank straight from a shot glass, although it is also used in various cocktails, including The Bloody Dane.
