Blue Blazer

The Ingredients

50 ml Whiskey, 50 ml Hot Water, 2 teaspoons Demerara Sugar, Lemon Zest

How To make a Blue Blazer

Fill 2 metal pint mugs with boiling water and allow to stand until well warm. Discard the hot water.Pour 50 ml of whisky into one of the metal pint mugs. Into the second metal mug pour 50 ml of boiling water. Add 2 teaspoons of demerara sugar. The warmth of the mug will result in the whisky giving off alcoholic fumes. Using a lighter or match, carefully ignite the whisky. Pour the flaming whisky from one mug into the other.Immediately pour the water and whisky back into the empty mug. Repreat this process 5-6 times until sugar, whisky and water are all well mixed. Garnish with a twist of lemon zest.

Social and Cocktail says:

Not for the cocktail novice, this is a difficult and dangerous drink to pull off but in the right hands this is as good as cocktail spectacles get. Tastes good as well.
