Best Bars and Cocktails for your Ibiza holiday

Summer has been here for a while, and for many this means heading off on holiday. We can’t be the only ones that get overly-excited about trying a whole host of exciting new bars and cocktails in a different country. There’s nothing like sipping a Mai Tai on a beach while you wiggle your toes in warm sand, or sipping a Martini on a rooftop bar overlooking a bustling city.

This is why we’ve added our International Bar section – to help guide you through the best places to drink around the globe. It’s very new, but we’ll gradually be filling it with the worldwide establishments that we recommend for a great time and a fantastic cocktail or two.

And our first port of call? The party island that is Ibiza!

Ibiza is the go-to place for those wanting to check out the hottest DJ`s, enjoy a chilled beach holiday with friends, or explore the gorgeous island and get back to their hippy roots.

So where is top of our hit-list when visiting the White Island?

WHERE TO: Spend an afternoon…

Nikki Beach – Want the ultimate in luxury living? Then why not recline on one of the famous white Nikki Beach sun-beds, or underneath one of their signature teepees, while sipping a freshly made mojito? Or, if you’re feeling a little more lavish, then spend a Sunday indulging in their renowned Champagne Brunches, released from the cares of the world…

This gorgeous beach-club, restaurant and lifestyle boutique is located on the East coast of Ibiza, and overlooks the turquoise beauty of the Mediterranean sea. Whether it’s sipping fizz as the warm breeze catches the stylish drapery, enjoying some of their exotic and delicious dishes, or partying down to the music of resident DJs, then Nikki beach is the kind of place we can see ourselves indulging in a cocktail or two. And with a calendar that includes themed events like their annual White Party and Jet Set Saturday Party, then there’s aways something on.

We’ll be trying out all the best cocktails they have to offer, as well as testing just how phenomenal this champagne brunch really is, and reporting back to you lovely lot.

WHERE TO: Rest your head…

Ibiza Rocks House – …or possibly not, since there is so much going on here that you won’t want to miss a moment with something as mundane as sleep! Ibiza Rocks House is a true island institution, and offers a place to relax, indulge, and get your groove on.

Each room in the hotel is individually decorated in an authentic, quirky and rock n’ roll style, and yes, you do recognise that pool from Wham’s video for Club Tropicana. You can relax with yoga, or party it up with their special guest DJs, including the fabulous Idris Elba (swoon!) and some of the most exclusive and hottest private parties on the island. That’s a reason to stay here in itself!

We’ll be heading to Ibiza Rocks House on a Saturday night to check out what kind of stunning cocktails you can expect to sip on while you dance away to the coolest of tunes… and let you know exactly what you should choose to drink, whether you’re chilling at their Pool Bar or indulging in some modern classics at their Room 39 restaurant.

WHERE TO: Party in the Pool…

Ocean Beach Ibiza – A lot of the action at this great beach club takes place around their huge pool, including the famous Ocean Beach pool party. No trip to the White Isle would be complete without a dance in your bikini, and at this event it suddenly got a whole lot more interesting!

Each Friday, Ocean Beach invites you to don your swimwear and grab a cocktail for an afternoon of fun in the sun, where guests can frolic in the pool, or dance to the uber-cool tunes of resident DJs. And that’s not all – there will also be surprises that include acrobatic performances and mesmerizing dancers.

On top of this, Ocean Beach has a truly gorgeous roof garden from which to enjoy the magnificent spectacle of sunset over the island. But the night isn’t over yet – sister club Pearl opens until 5am for those wanting to keep the party going.

We’ll be grabbing a margarita and heading pool-side to see what kind of cocktail offerings you can expect to indulge in while sashaying away in your swimwear!

So, we’ll be trying cocktails and a champagne brunch at an exclusive beach club; making our way through the mixology menu at a DJ night in one of the top hotels; and sipping the creative concoctions at a world-famous pool party.
